How to Hang Mosquito Netting on a Patio?

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Measure the Patio Area

Start by measuring the perimeter of your patio where you intend to hang the netting. Measure the height and width to determine how much netting you’ll need. Don’t forget to account for any openings where you will need access.

2. Select the Right Netting

Choose mosquito netting that is designed for outdoor use and has a fine mesh to keep out even the smallest insects. Ensure it is large enough to cover the entire area you measured.

3. Install Support Rods

• Option 1: Tension Rods: If your patio has walls or posts that are close enough together, tension rods can be a good option. Extend the rods between the walls or posts, making sure they are secure and level.

• Option 2: Curtain Rods: For patios without close walls or posts, use curtain rods with hooks or screws. Attach the hooks or screws to the patio structure, then mount the rods.

4. Attach the Netting

• Measure and Cut: Measure and cut the netting to fit the sections of your patio. It’s better to cut a bit extra to ensure full coverage.
